What a Joke!

LAST night we went to supper at Malone's;
You ought of saw the Johnnies makin' eyes!
Well, I don't have to put on no disguise
Or wear things that'll cover up my bones,
Or overload myself with flashin' stones
To make 'em rubber when I pass! I rise
To gently say that this fair maiden tries
To dazzle with the beauty that she owns.

We hunted out a cozy little nook
Where others wouldn't hear us when we spoke,
And just about the time that we had took
Our seats he seen his sister! Gee, the look
She flashed across the place! I thought I'd choke
From laughin', it was such a lovely joke.
